Glenn Ferris is a jazz trombonist, born in Los Angeles. While studying classical music, from 1958 to 1967, he began his jazzman career at the age of 14 in Don Ellis' big band. In the USA, he has played and recorded with guitarists John Abercrombie and John Scofield, Michael and Randy Brecker, George Duke, Buddy Miles, Art Pepper, soul singer Stevie Wonder and Frank Zappa. He has formed several groups, including Revival (with J. Walrath) and the Celebration Orchestra.
In 1980, he moved to France and performed in Europe, as a leader of trios, duets or quartets, or as a guest soloist with other groups, irregularly recording records always noticed by critics.
In the early 2000s he co-founded the BFG group with Emmanuel Bex (organ) and Simon Goubert (drums).
