For May 1st, Workers' Day, I invite you to (re)discover an ‘old gallery’...
GEOMETREE: What is hidden in the images ... Geome-tree : What is hidden at the edges of the images ...
Geometry (definition): the study of space and the figures that can occupy it.
By editing photos on a computer, turning them upside down and pasting them together, they can suddenly reveal surprising geometries and shapes...
For this new "Périgourdine" gallery, I invite you to discover 4 images hidden "at the edge" of those I was working on and the stages of transformation that enabled me to reveal them.

Montage 1 (Etape 3)
The photo from step 2 is itself copied and reversed: a new character appears... But where's the head?

Montage 2 : Insecte végétal
Plant Bug
Initial photo: a stretch of water in a flooded field in winter

Montage 2 : Etape 2
First try with a reversal of the original photo, it gives a grassy sky but nothing really surprising ...

Montage 2 : Etape 3
If you straighten out the photo, you can make out a shapeless mass of vegetation on the right, but nothing conclusive...

Montage 2 : dernière étape
It's when you copy the photo and place it in mirror image of the first the plant Bug appears ...

Montage 3 : Un chat dans la Vézère
Basically a photo of the Vézère at Saint Léon, a montage that turns out to be very dark... and an interesting shape that "appears" in the bottom right-hand corner of the photo...

Montage 3 : Etape 2
I start again from the original shot and after cropping and improving the light and colour, the shape takes shape...

Montage 3 : Etape 3
As before, I combine the original image and its mirror image to reveal a cat that seems to love water ...

Montage 4 : Qui se cache dans la forêt ?
The original image is a black and white photograph of trees with intertwining branches...

Montage 4 : Etape 2
A strange half-silhouette seems to be hidden in the right half of the photo, and that's what interests me...

Montage 4 : Etape 3
Who is hiding in the forest?
Bringing the image together with its mirror image reveals a rather worrying figure...
